Do you mean a wifi repeater (that picks up a weak signal and rebroadcasts it)?
If so, you'd be better off getting additional wireless access points and connecting them to the router via Ethernet. Wireless repeaters introduce latency and aren't as reliable.
If you can't lay cables, poweline adaptors are probably your best bet.
Also, if your router has a detachable aerial, you might be able to replace it with a high gain one.0
