Closing Halifax to rejoin Halifax?

I just had a look at their joining via switching offer of £135. I've never paid it much attention as i'm with them anyway but now the 'bonus' has dropped to £2/month.
Well i joined in 2010 but just by simply joining up, not actually switching so even if i had joined after 2012 and i've obviously been a member since then anyway, as i've not switched then the way i see it is i could go ahead and close my account today and then begin switching proceedings to them tomorrow so that i can bag my £135?
Even if the switch process took 12 months to complete, i'd be losing out on £48 (2 accounts, but you could argue it as £36) so i'd still be money up.
You are not eligible for the offer if you have previously received any other offer or benefits for switching to a Halifax bank account at any point since January 2012.

You don't need to close your Halifax account, you just need to switch a different account into it and Halifax will still pay you the switching offer.0

So i could just open up a [insert bank account that i don't really want here] account now, set up a couple of standing orders on it or whatever & then switch it to my Halifax and bag myself £135?0 -
These switching things usually require 2 direct debits. I've been having a look and it just says
- Transfer your payment arrangements from your old bank account to us and close the old account.
For example, my mother has a Santander account which only has 1 standing order set up on it to keep it active in the event a decent switcher offer comes up.
Even though it's only 1 standing order it's still "a payment arrangement".
Is is there the smaller than small print that specifies a number of direct debits?0 -

You don't need any payees, standing orders, direct debits, money in account etc. To get the Halifax switch bonus of £50. To get the other £85 after 6 months there are conditions you need to meet.0
