i have dlink and there are 2 people round by me are on there computers which made my signal low my says security enabled wireless network theres say (wpa) after theres but mine dont what does that mean..cheers

It means that their networks are secured by WPA ([SIZE=-1]WiFi Protected Access) and yours is not. You are probably only using WEP encryption.

The other signals that you can see, should only affect you if they are on the same channel (1-13). Change yours to a clear channel and also change it to use WPA-PSK wireless encryption, as it is much more secure.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
