My costs in Bristol (sounds like may be more pricey than some but I wanted the best solicitors possible)

Solicitiors and legal fees: £1250
HB report: £200
Mortgage valuation: £370
Van hire for moving: £200
Additional month's rent for crossover period: £400
Additional bills for crossover period: £200
Furniture and appliances (we rented part furnished): £5000
Stress and sleepless nights: £priceless
