Drain it, what happens if you have a power cut your system may not revert to timed settings & I guarantee your insurance co will wipe their hands of it if your house is flooded, plus logics aren't the most reliable boilers eitherI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Regards electricity disruptions, whenever we've had a power cut our heating/boiler settings have not been affected as the time controller holds your original settings. Obviously if you're RCD has tripped this would affect you're boiler but this rarely happens if it's just a power cut.0

Well insurance aside, it should still be drained but it's your choice and your risk to take.
If by a small chance it does burst I still think your insurers will fight you on it, but then again I wasn't aware that some insurers now allow 120 days without notifying them so as long as your happy there id no insurance risk then you can take the easiest option for you.0 -

But even if the insurance agrees to pay out, they would still be in temporary accommodation for several months, so there will always be a risk.
The OP needs to minimise the risk of having a burst pipe, so draining the system seems to be the only sensible thing to do if they have no-one who can check on the property.0
