I’d be getting quotes from local carpenters followed by a decent decorator to finish them

I'm very lucky, my hubby was a cabinet maker and we have beautifully fitted wardrobes in our bedroom. Floor to ceiling but with skirting board at the bottom. We've got wardrobes with shelves both sides of the bed and cupboards across between them. A small drawer unit next to the bed on both sides and above those a corner unit with glass shelves. Hubby has made a fancy bit to go above the bed under the cupboards.

They are just painted white at the moment and I'm looking for something to decorate them with but haven't found anything yet.

He did have one big problem though, the windows were too wide to build up to so the wardrobes end a few inches short of the wall which is a shame lol.

My hubby also built me a beautiful dressing table years ago with an unusual shaped top. The drawer fronts had to be shaped to fit in with the top ie curved.
