New Build 2 Year Warrenty

Can you offer some advice on the following?
I moved into a new build just over a year ago, last week I noticed that the wine cooler was leaking. After further inspection I noticed that the pipe at the back was not fitted correctly. As a result I had a leak and it caused damage to the Kitchen Island.
So my question is as the appliance was not fitted correctly will I be coved by the 2 year warranty?
