Barclaycard "Personalised amount for this month"

OK, I understand that they now send these for those classed as "persistent debt", my understanding of this is for those people who are paying more interest than capital over 18 months.

I don't use the card and no new purchases are going on it, and for the past few months I have been paying the personalised amount each month, which at first worked out as roughly a little over double the interest charge for that month, which makes sense as it means I am repaying more capital than interest.

But every-time I make the personalised payment the next month it's upped to a slightly higher amount, will this keep continuing? Or should it eventually level off at a static amount as it takes the total over 18 months and making a few changes now and going forward will take it's time to outweigh the last 18 months.

(Debt is more than manageable, not struggling to pay, just annoying as I'd like to be able to set my card DD at a given level without having to change it every month)
