I don't think cashback of £5 per £1000 (about the best around nowadays) is going to significantly enhance the bargain on the car, and as already suggested above I think you'd break the dealer's patience.

If you really fancy your haggling skills you might even manage to get a couple of extra quid off for not messing about like this, and doing faster payments bank transfer for most of the purchase.

I don’t think they do “temporary raises”
Temporary (and emergency) raises are (were?) allowed by the general credit card guidelines, although individual banks may restrict their use.

I think you would be better haggling with the dealer as a cash in hand buyer (even if it is loan cash). I wouldn't be wanting to deal like you suggest - I have no idea what it owuld do to your section 75 rights and as above may well flag you for fraud which I don't know bt can't believe would make you card more likely to be blocked again

Let us know how it works out / what you decide.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

So you're intending to go to the dealer one morning and pay (say) £3000 on your CC - go home - pay this off from the loan - go back to the dealer pay another CC - go home ----repeat ---- repeat
    repeat
    repeat ?

I think the dealer will tell you (in a nice way) to take a running jump

The internet can be accessed away from homes now.
