Lost money paid into natwest

Monday i paid cash and a cheque into my RBS account via Natwest. The cash showed up instantly and cleared my overdraft, the cheque showed up but had to wait to clear, all good i thought. I then paid a bill which showed up. The next day the cash and cheque deposit have disappeared and now overdrawn again. RBS have no idea whats happened and say its a branch issue, the branch i paid into told me all payments go through a clearing centre and its there fault, still not got the money. I though cash went into account straight away. Anyone else had same issue. Getting a bit desperate now for christmas.

Sometime when you pay cash and cheque on the same transaction the cash will sit as pending until the cheque has been cleared0
