BW Legal Threatening Letter

Comments

  • An update on the case.

I recieved the standard BW Legal letter of claim late in December, and so decided to try taking the landowner route before responding to them.

I sent an email to the Land Management Company who responded by saying the property had very recently been sold and they were no longer in charge of it. After a little bit of digging I found the new Land Management Company and sent them an email and got this response:

    "Good Morning,

As we are not in contract with Britannia at this time, there is minimal
leverage we can use to persuade them in your direction.

I have contacted the Britannia agent dealing with this site and have asked
    him to contact you directly.

    Kind Regards"

I'm very annoyed that they've passed my details on to Britannia without my permission, I also dont buy that neither the old or new management companies have the authority to cancel the ticket.

I'm not expecting Britannia to be helpful at all, I think Britannia have realised that with the change of owner they may lose control to the Car Park and so have tried cash in on as many older cases as possible. I've read about quite a few older cases at the same property recently popping up.

Any advise on what my next steps should be would be greatly appreciated,

I will post my draft response to BW Legals Letter of Claim in due time.

    Thanks.
