Selling of Debt and now a CCJ

The named creditor is :

PRA Group (UK) Ltd

But in the particulars it names Welcome as being the original agreement which was then sold on to Aktiv Kapital and then on to PRA Group

I only found out today after a change on my credit file, I moved out of the old house 3 months ago so haven't had any Letter before claim, Claim pack and Judgement form until i regained access to the old house today.
The judgement is dated the 13th Dec 18

Appreciate any help at all

You don't appeal a default Judgment (CCJ) you make an application to have it set aside.

Judgments are only appealed if the Judge made an error of fact or law at a Hearing or Trial.

From what you have posted you were denied the opportunity to file your Defence.

That assignment chain has to be evidenced.

In my personal experience PRA struggle with assignment issues.

I didn't even know anything about it until today Di. I have the letters in front of me now, i'm just trawling the forums as i don't know what i can do abbout it

I'll try to take a look at everything you've posted on this forum so far tomorrow.

PRA took me to court last year and lost so I'm acutely aware of the potential legal issues - especially those issues relating to assignment.

I know from previous that they've been asked for and not provided a CCA from Welcome, so i will welcome your guidance tomorrow and take it from there, all things considered i could really do without a CCJ hanging around my neck.

glad you are getting better help on this sub forum , just to add (I think I am right) with this amount owing the claimant can go running to high court ??? and you may get Steve Pinner knocking on your door (DCBL - cant pay wont pay)

I've nothing of value anyway. No car, private renter, no savings and a DMP being managed by step change.
I've also got no friends, through choice so there'll be none of that "there must be someone you can call" tactic because the only person who could have helped died 5 months ago 😢
