Harvey's furniture purchase on credit card

Hi, I bought a dining room and 6 chairs from Harvey's at the end of October on the understanding it would be delivered in time for Christmas. I paid in full on my Barclaycard. Despite numerous phone calls to them I have not heard back from them and it is obvious I am not going to receive my furniture. Can I get my money back from Barclaycard (I've already cleared that debt) and how do I go about it? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks Felicity.

Its not "obvious" so rather than ending up in trouble, send them an email, and ask for confirmation.

Why not contact Harveys first?? Or am I missing something?
Sect 75 shouldn't be your first port of call.0 -
A bit more research
https://www.harveysfurniture.co.uk/contacts/
Phone them and tell them or confirm item nt being delivered before xmas as agreed and kindly ret my monies asap, right now actually as you dont have time to waste.
They are quite helpful bunch.0 -
If you don't get your furniture by the agreed upon date, then technically Barclaycard can raise a Chargeback to the retailer's bankers for the missing goods. They will, however, require you to evidence the agreed date and show that you have tried to resolve the issue with the retailer. I can see you've tried to call them and had no luck.
Remember, though, if the agreed delivery date is only specified as 'before Christmas', Barclaycard technically won't be able to raise a Chargeback until after that date has passed.
Will the furniture be useless to you if it arrives late? Maybe you can negotiate a discount with Harvey's if it turns out they will be late delivering.0 -
S75 is meant to be the last resort after going through the normal processes, the bank won't just give you the money back until you have been through the complaints process with the firm
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

On top of that, if a S75 claim is envisaged, Barclaycard won't do anything on that score until there is evidence of a breach of contract with the retailer - at this point, there is no evidence to show any breach of contract - it is still 'before Christmas'.0
