Underfloor heating in newly rented bedroom not functioning correctly

Hi all,
I recently moved into my houseshare this Saturday (the 15th of December). Long story short my room is supposed to have underfloor heating which could be controlled by the thermostat which is in my room. What I have come to find out is that it's actually the thermostat within the hallway outside my room (which is supposed to control the hallway floor) that heats up my room!
Since it's only been four days and I'm within my 7 day period to notify the letting agents of any issues, would I have any sort of legal backing for them to fix this as this isn't right in my eyes.
I haven't really met all of my housemates yet (there are 8 of us in total) and I'm sure some of them will adjust the thermostat thinking it's for the hallway. Of course I will try and tell them not to but is there anything I can do to get the landlord / letting agency to fix this?

Put a note on the thermostat?0

There is no 7 day period. You can report faults at any time, preferably in writing.
However the thermostat doesn't sound to be faulty, just inconveniently located.0 -
What 7 day period?
The two thermostats have probably just been wired up incorrectly. Contact your landlord and let him know. In the meantime just stick a note on the hallway thermostat and speak with your flat mates.0
