SSE customer services number ???

Does anyone know the best customer service phone number for SSE please?
I have been going round in circles with SSE since switching to Peoples Energy at the beginning of November. I had a fixed Sparks deal (duel fuel) with M&S Energy, which then was 'moved' to SSE when M&S bowed out.
It has taken me until today to get a final bill from SSE for my Gas usage - which is £115.00 in credit.
But I have not have an Electricity bill from SSE since August 2018, even though my account should be over £400.00 in credit by now (because they changed our monthly payment to be too high, but that's another story). When I login to my online account the last electricity bill available is the Aug 2018 ones, nothing since.
I have tried to contact them several times, but keep being forced into the 'online submission form' - which then tells me that I will have an answer "usually within 6 working days"(!). Then I get an email which is no answer at all.
So... if anyone knows a good phone number to use, or has any advice on how to deal with them then please let me know!

As phoning is failing you, I would just start a complaint. And insist on only written communications as you then have an audit trail if you need to go to the ombudsman.
