Kodi cannot download on Amazon fire stick

I have manager to set up the Kodi install on my Amazon fire stick under Android. It starts to download and gets to about 18% then stops with an error message. This has happened several times. What am I doing incorrectly or what is the problem that stops the download midstream.

The error message (for a start) would be helpful.
How is the fire stick powered? Is it just plugged into a USB port on the TV or are you using the supplied adaptor?0 -
I was able to download Kodi onto my Amazon Fire Stick although it was rather a struggle. I got there in the end. When I got to the options sections I choose Android and the ARM 32-Bit link. I took quite a while as my WiFi connection was poor so that is something that I think is worth checking.0
