Looking for a tablet for general all-round use in the price range of £160.
It’s a present for my partner for Christmas so need a quick answer please.
A 10inch would be good but could be smaller, SD slot would also be good, just for browsing, email, youtube that sort of thing.
Thanks.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

You could buy a 14"acer Chromebook from curry's. I did on black Friday for 130. Gave up an expensive HP laptop. This has long battery life, in fact perfect for what you require.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I would like to focus upon the software support issue.
Some of Galaxy tablets will get a decent software upgrade (at least Android Oreo 8.1)

By contrast, Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus reportedly won’t be getting any Android Oreo upgrade
https://www.xda-developers.com/lenovo-tab-4-10-plus-wont-get-android-oreo/We’re disappointed that a device that launched with Android 7.1 Nougat won’t even receive a single platform update to Android 8.0 Oreo. People generally keep their tablets around longer than their smartphones, so it’s sad to see that even some budget Android smartphones get more software support than this.0 -

I can't figure out why a chromebook is being recommended when the OP is asking about a 10" or smaller tablet. Admirable as chrome books may be they are not tablets.0
