Partnership to Sole Trader and Overdue Client Invoice

Hi all, just need some help here as I'm not sure what to do.
I was in a partnership and my business partner had to leave due to personal reasons thus leaving just myself as a sole trader, this was amicable and we are still friends but left me in a bit of a quandary regarding a particular client that has an outstanding invoice with us for services we provided for them whilst still in the partnership.
Before my business partner left we sent the invoice to the client for payment on 30 day terms, it's for a fairly large amount and is now well over that 30 day payment period.
My question is, can I now as a sole trader still chase that overdue invoice originally sent from the partnership or did I lose the right to be able to chase payment for it when I became a Sole Trader?
P.S. My ex business partner is fine with me chasing it.
Thanks in advance for any advice

It's still a partnership debt, so you chase it under the partnership name (unless debts were "sold" by the partnership to you personally in the partnership dissolution/sale agreement).0

Look at your partnership agreement to see what happens with outstanding liabilities. If you have not got a partnership agreement, then it appears that the partnership has not yet been disolved.0
