I noticed that Simon Howie is doing haggis Bon bons and thought they would be a good idea as a starter for Christmas. I then decided I could make my own without bothering to read any recipes!
So today I have bought a mcsween haggis from Costco and looked at recipes and noticed that they all involve deep fat frying
Not what I really want to add to the cooker top on Christmas Day!
Do any of you know if I could deep fat fry Christmas Eve and just reheat on Christmas Day?
Or do I just get the Simon howie ones if I can throw them in the oven?
Sorry, I'm not much of a cook:o

Set oven to 180C/gas mark 5. Chop up haggis and mash while raw, shaping into 12 bon bons.
Roll in flour then coat in beaten egg and roll in the breadcrumbs until coated.
Spray an oven tray lightly with oil and place the bon bons on.
Pop in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
