edit just tried a random date in july and it was twice the price to do it on seperate tickets.
I doubt that such routes could ever be cheaper on separate tickets. It seems more likely that Marco wants a day in Amsterdam on the way (although that could also probably be done on one ticket).

The real issue is going to be delays at Border control, not the lack of flights. I expect the flights will be operating normally but since you are travelling via Amsterdam and there will have been a month to see what is happening, if the worst comes to the worst, take Eurostar from St Pancras to Amsterdam. KLM will have no liability for the long haul flights if you are not at Schipol Airport on time, the risk of booking the flights separately

I also suggest checking out the ferries from Harwich: an overnight crossing and a train to Schiphol should get there in time for most departures of the day.

The EU Commission issued advice today confirming that providing the UK allows EU based airlines (eg KLM) to continue flying as they do now, they will allow all UK based airlines to do so for a period of 12 months from the date of a no deal Brexit , so stop worrying
