Toilet charges to be scrapped at major train stations from April

Toilet charges at train stations are a joke and have been for years. When I was younger and dumber, I used to spot a train that was 10 minutes or so off leaving, then hop on, have a leak, and then hop back off0

How many people carry cash these days? I don't! Scrapping the charge makes the facilities available to more people.
Yes it does, but my point still remains and there are still things people need cash for, supermarket trolleys for instance.
Its old news anyway, been known it was coming for ages, just the precise date we now have to look forward to.0 -

Nobody needs cash for a supermarket trolley, what is needed (if you live in a dodgy area where trolley theft needs to be prevented) is something of a similar shape and size as a coin, I have several on key rings that I've been given over the years.0 -

Good for you. I haven't got such a thing so along with most of the populace I need a quid coin.0 -

Look out for them, so many people give them away, I have 15 and keep a friend supplied when she loses hers, whereas I just keep mine in my purse :rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Or even easier is just carry a pound coin, and then it would also come in handy if you're ever caught out needing some cash!0 -
Paddington toilets have been absolutely disgusting every time I have used them. The 30p charge was an insult as it felt really unhygienic. I wouldn't have minded if the toilets were nicer and cleaner!
But not expensive either. At the moment the supplement cost is fairly close to a cheap King Cross B&B depending on the day of the week and the inclusive rate is lower still.0 -

I'm going to have to disagree with this. Not easier.
I go to the supermarket in a car. I have a trolley token on my car keys. There is no possible way for me to forget this. With a pound I can spend on other things, there is more chance to not have one with me.
(I always have pound coins in the car for parking, but that's another matter. Still easier to have a trolley token, just in case I run out of pound coins.)0
