Lodger's Contents Insurance

I've just moved into a mate's house. He doesn't have, or want, contents insurance. I'd like to move my contents in which needs insuring for about £10K. It won't be locked away in my room. Struggling to find insurers to cover this situation - does anyone know of any?

Assuming you don't want to insure against him nicking your stuff - get insurance to cover both of you for the whole house?0
