Cancelled car insurance

Hi,

Me and my partner are looking to move and have our house up for sale, before my renewal was due I did some car insurance quotes on a couple of the properties we was looking at due to them having no off street parking.

Now the problem my insurance got cancelled 15 days into the policy due to me making to many changes to my quotes. I rang them and explained and said i have proof of our house being up for sale and the house address's I did as quotes up for sale too but wasn't interested and that my policy was still cancelled. I have now been severely left out of pocket as my insurance has doubled.

Do I just take it on the chin or is there anyway to fight this. What's the point in quotes if they can cancel policies so easily for making to many changes.

Write and complain, with your evidence. From their point of view it looks like you are playing the system.

For future reference, use dummy details when getting quotes.

I dont see how they can cancel a policy for something your looking at for the future,the contract you have is for your current address.

Id bang in a complaint and then onto ombudsman.
