Parking ticket while in a kitchen shop getting kitchen designedn

Had an appointment to get my kitchen designed at a well known kitchen place. On their website and at retail park it says free parking: we were there (and only in the kitchen place) for just over 4hrs. Turns out maximum was 3 hrs and no one thought it wise to tell us this.

I have just now emailed the kitchen place giving them the pcn number and times and asked them to cancel as we were customers in their shop the intire time we were parked in the retail park. We didn’t go into any other shop. Hopefully they’ll reply

Do they have the power to cancel it? There’s many other stores at this retail park so they most likely aren’t the land owner. Do I write to the parking firm G24 and wait for the code for popla? Do I have to pay as technically we didn’t go with their kitchen as we have another quote from somewhere else we want to get first

:mad::(

    Push the kitchen company hard, either they cancel it, they pay it for you, or you will cancel the order

    The penny has yet to drop with retailers employing parking vermin, THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS

    If the kitchen place won't/can't cancel, G24 (as I write) are benign and can be ignored.

    But pressurise the kitchen place with the threat of a cancelled order, or no further dealings with them until they sort this out. If they're prepared to lose a big order (new kitchens don't come cheap) for the sake of removing their rear ends from a comfy swivel chair alongside their computer, then let them swivel. Take your business elsewhere.

    Everything in writing (especially to confirm telephone calls) keeps an evidence trail together.

    The sticky thread for NEWBIES tells you precisely how to proceed. Do not reveal the driver's identity at any point. Using "we" is good, otherwise only refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.

    1 Complain long and loud to the retailer, reminding them that other kitchen suppliers are available.

    2 Appeal to the scammers using the template from the NEWBIES.

    3 Appeal to PoPLA using the template points from the NEWBIES.

    4 Complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

    5 Note hat none of the replies have mentioned paying these scammers.

  • Thanks guys. I wasn’t even the driver actually so I can deny that it was me and they’ll have to find the driver. And yes if the kitchen firm won’t cancel this, order will not be with them that’s for sure!
