How does the Land Registry document shared ownership staircasing? Because it's the same situation, just different %ages.So out of curiosity, is there something on the land registry that says she’s purchased 5/6ths?
No SDLT was due on the original 1/6th - because it was inherited.
SDLT on the "staircase" was due on the purchase of the other 5/6ths.0 -
Consideration was £200k you don't pay SDLT on gifts.0

Repossession transactions were always recorded by the Land Registry, but I don't know when they started featuring in LR statistics.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
