Insurer does not cover Dry Rot but..

While I understand that this is not covered by the policy - can I ask will they look at payment for accomodation when repairs are carried out and new carpets etc, it is advanced and my friend in her 60's and in poor health had no idea of the extent of the problem or even that there was one!

    Unfortunately not. The alternative accommodation cover can only flow from an insured event.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

    I hope that your friend is okay, despite the unfortunate circumstances
