Front Door Vestibule

I have been trying to do some research on this topic.. we are completing on our first house in a couple of weeks. there is a vestibule entrance at the front (i.e. - a set of doors with small area and then the main doors of the house). I was wondering if it is allowed to take down the internal walls and expand the internal area until the vestibule doors there by giving me enough space on my ground floor landing to build a shower room. Has anyone done this?
