Part of the Furniture Photogenic Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I too was involved in an accident with a lorry earlier this year. I have just received a letter from my insurance company saying that they are considering taking advice from their solicitors as to whether to take the case to court, but before they do they want to know if I would be prepared togive evidence in court.

Very nervous about this (although I still don't think I was responsible). If I say I don't want to go to court, does this mean I am admitting liability?

However, having read the posts below, I'm now a little more at ease if it's as informal as you describe.

    Hi Jue

Hopefully, like my case, it won't come to that but if it does progress let us know how you get on.

I was reassured to read the replies to my original post about going to court but am glad I won't have to now ..

  • Interested in this - and thanx - I was hit by a lorry overtaking on a bend and have had a terrible time of it since. He has denied liability and my solicitors (legal insurance paid and have been v good) have just got all the witness evidence thro now (all positive) so hopefully mine will get sorted - its not about money tho as my health has really suffered and I am still having treatment and have had PTSD but the mind games these companies and people play are so unscrupulous and worrying - doesnt anyone care anymore? No one seems to want to admit their mistakes, everything seems to be about money BUT what comes round goes around - sorry to sound grim but the thread did help honest!Least I know what is coming up next - best of luck with your pa claim

Thanks for posting - I know exactly how you feel. In my case it was so obviously the lorry driver at fault and the fact that the 3rd party were denying responsibility was a real kick in the teeth put together with all the inconvenience and pain I'd suffered.

The replies I had on this thread helped to put things into perspective for me.

Good luck with everything ..
