Hello
I have just moved into a Property which has old style thin Radiators with no TRV thermostatic valves fitted . Is it now a regulation to have these fitted for new tennants ? , as i read somwhere once that as of 2010 it is their responsibility
many thanks

I suspect you could be confusing the need for an EPC document on the property with the need for fitted TVR's.
The EPC will show how energy efficient the property is and may make a recommendation that TVR's are fitted but to my knowledge it is not mandatory that a rented property has them as standardin S 38 T 2 F 50
out S 36 T 9 F 24 FF 4

No, it's not a requirement, except that if a new boiler is fitted, it is expected that TRVs be fitted to all radiators, with the exception of the one in the room where the wall thermostat is sited.0

No it isn't!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

No, there is no law for TRV's even for new boilers. There is recommendations but that's about it.0

Presumably landlord did not come and whip them out after you viewed?0
