RNRB/IHT Query

  • You need to drop the emotion and concentrate on what practical steps can be done. Sadly the case illustrates the missed opportunities for IHT planning. Learn from it for the future for your own estates. A hard lesson but be positive.

    Hi Yorkshireman99,
Practical steps, as opposed to emotion, is why I posted on here in the first place, and, while I wholeheartedly agree that our case "more than" illustrates missed opportunities for IHT planning, there is also LOT of pertinent information that I haven't alluded to on here, that essentially meant that we were always going to end up, "somewhere", in this type of mess/situation.
Both my Brother, and I, are already beginning to plan out the ramifications of Moms Estate, in regard to our own future (s), and you can rest assured that this type of situation, will DEFINITELY NOT be a problem for either of us, in the future.

    kind regards

Indeed. Good luck with some paid for advice we’ll worth a few hundred if it saves you more. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
