hi,
im a single stay at home mum and on income support. iv been offered a part time job that i have decided to accept that would be roughly 4 hours per week, iv rung the income support up and found out what information they would need, and i need to inform them i will be taking this up before my training starts on tuesday. my problem is that they want to know an hourly rate, and how many hours i will be working per week, but as i will be self employed and doing work for different companies i dont have an hourly rate i will be paid for the work that i complete. the amount of work i am planning on doing would be roughly £100 per month but obviously this could change as i can only do the work when it is available. Does anyone know how to go about this, do i need to say that i will be working for a fixed hourly rate, though when i send my invoices off as proof of earning this will show its pay for work completed and not an hourly rate, im confused
. thanks in advance for anyone who can help

If you are on IS you can earn £20 per week without it coming off your benefit, if you earn more then you IS will reduce thats why they want to know exactly how much money you will have coming in, can you not estimate it and send in wage slips for adjustment after ?0
