intermittent drip sound coming from toilet cistern

Hi I have a drip which looks like it's coming from the section in the photo

Weirdly it'll make the drip sound when the bathroom sink taps are used (without flushing) as well as after a flush.

it looks like I can just unscrew it and have a look but I'm reticent to do that before asking as I've been in the house years and there's been no toilet repairs and I've read that these things can get brittle and are easy to break over time

is this a simple washer fix where I can just hand unscrew that part or will the entire unit need replacing?

1. The inlet valve is the assembly to the right of the cistern, including the part you have highlighted.
2. The syphon is the part in the middle, large blue top, large white body.
3. Isolate water to cistern. (With luck, isolation valve in pipe leading up to base of inlet valve).
4. Unscrew large white nut mostly within your highlight mark.
5. Take out black rubber washer (diaphragm washer).
6. Take to plumbers merchants, get replacement.
7. Fit new washer, replace large white nut, finger tight plus a bit should do.

Alternatively fit a whole new inlet valve. Fluidmaster bottom entry brass shanked are pretty good.
