Have I any rights here

I bought a Kenwood chef Stand Mixer back in 2014 from Amazon. The guarantee on these products are 5 years. The machine has developed a fault probably the drive shaft and will need repaired
However, I bought from Amazon with this description: ‘Condition: Used - Very Good
The item may come repackaged. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy.’
I appreciate that technically this is a second hand machine. If I recall correctly the only thing wrong with it was it cane in a battered box
I don’t think I have, but I’m just checking to see if I have any rights at this time

What do the terms of the warranty say? Is it transferrable and if so, was it transferred?0

The Kenwood guarantee is not transferable, but as you bought second hand there is a good chance the item is over 5 years old anyway, so you are out of luck.0

By the sounds of it you purchased from Amazon Warehouse (which is Amazon themselves), if so it's worth trying to claim on the warranty but I'd not mention anything about it being "very good condition" as it was likely a new mixer with packaging not good enough to be sold as new.
If it was a 3rd party marketplace seller you might not be able to claim on the warrantyIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
5 yr manufactures warranty, have you contacted them? Seems easiest way to find out.0

There may be a clue to the actual age of the mixer in the serial number. As it was bought in 2014 and was apparently not new, it could easily be over 5 years old.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I have sent off an email to Kenwood, described the problem, told them it was purchased via Amazon and was able then give the Amazon date of purchase. So fingers crossed 🤞0
