Will I be moved to UC?

We are currently receiving ctc and wtc. I work full time, wife is at home. Two young children, one currently diagnosed with disability. Awarded DLA middle rate. My wife is eligible to apply for carers allowance.
Would applying for carers mean a UC trigger? Or would it be triggered when we inform them of a dla award? Or neither? Thanks

No, this won't trigger a move to UC. For your wife to be able to claim carers allowance she must not be earning more than £120 per week.We are currently receiving ctc and wtc.
