Get WiFi in detached garage

Hi I’m hoping to get a decent WiFi signal in my garage, house signal doesn’t reach. A power line adapter works for a laptop with a cable but WiFi would be better for phones etc. Do I just buy another router and pair it somehow with my Bt home hub 5?
Many thanks

You could just swap the powerline adaptor in the garage with one that broadcasts a wi-fi signal. Or you could connect a wireless hotspot device to the powerline adaptor in the garage.0

Ok so what kind of hotspot device?
I didn’t know you could get powerline adapters that gave out a WiFi signal...

Have you got an old wireless router or anything like that. You could plug the ethernet cable from the powerline adapter into that and setup a new wifi connection. Do you get any wifi signal at all from the house, or is it completely unavailable? (i.e you don't even see the SSID name).
If you can't even see the SSID name, you could setup the new wifi using the same SSID and password and then your laptop would work in both the house and the garage without having to manually connect to the two wifis each time you swap between house and garage.0 -
Excellent thanks very much 😊0

Can you reposition the WiFi adapter to an upstairs room, so it gives better coverage to the garage? Or use a WiFi range extender?0
