Old Building Society Accounts

Hi,
I have came across some old building society books of mine and my fathers for the Sunderland and Shields Building Society and the TSB dating back to 1984. Is there any information which will tell me who these are now part of and whether any windfall or shares would have been allocated to us or if there was any qualifying criteria needed.
Thanks for any help you can give
Shaun

Hi,
seems your S&S was taken over by Northern Rock, found this thread, might give you some info, and your TSB will now be LLoydsTSB.0
