I think that this is the Right Thing

Hi Guys

As many of you will probably know I have really beem struggling recently. Not so much with my debt but with my personal life, I can't seem to shake this feeling of being a failure.

I have my money situation under control, there is still room for improvement, but things are getting there. The only problem is that while I have been doing this everything else has been suffering. I have no interest in work and basically spend all day here which isn't really helping me in anyway as I'm very behind in my work. I also find that I've lost control over the rest of my life.

Basically as much as I love all of you, I think I need to take a bit of a break. I'm still not 100% sure that this is the right things and part of me feels like I will be letting you all down, but I'm hoping that it will enable me to get a grip on things again. I will be popping in from time to time, to see how everyone is getting on and to let you know I am ok. But I feel that as least for a little while I need to stop coming here.

Acknowledging this makes me very sad, but hopefully it is right. I have just made myself a Drs appointment to discuss things with my Dr as I am so tried and have bags under my eyes, which for someone of 25 who hasn't been out partying is surely not right.

But I love you all and thank you all so much for your help. Like I said I'm not going a million miles away I just feel like I need a break.

Good Luck everyone

  • aww big hugs for you. If you need a break that is fine - this site can be all consuming (as we all realised when it went down) & I partly had my break because I couldnt cope with the level of new people coming n, struggling to help & feeling overwhelmed by it all. One word of caution though... my DFW ways slipped quite a bit while had my break I lost quite a bit of ground paying stuff off!! Can understand being disracted on here & Its no good if its affecting work which must be done! You just do what you feel is right & know that it will be lovely for us when you pop in to say hi...possibly a bit like Ms London but without the exotic travel!! Big hugs for you, if you can let us know how you get on with the gp but we'll be thinking of you as you struggle to get over what sounds like a rough patch for you...

    Hi Lucy
Total support for what you're saying - you posted on my diary yesterday, and I had a big rant on there a couple of days ago about wasting a day - partly that was because of staying on here too long, so I *really* understand why you're doing what you're doing. Just take care on the repayments, and then for the rest of it, go back to living your own life that you want to live. All the best

  • Lucy,

you have to do what is best for you, especially if you are unwell...
