What colour undercoat for dark red gloss

I am going to paint a garage fascia board with this dark red paint
I have already primed the fascia with white primer, now I need to undercoat it.
I think grey should be OK ... advise if not
I do have some of this grey undercoat in the house
Will this be OK ?
or would I be better off just painting two coats of the gloss
thank you

Grey undercoat will be ideal, if you use white you will probably need 2 coats of dark red for even coverage. It's a solvent based gloss so use a bristle brush rather than a man made one and lay off the paint for a great finish. Wilco paints I've used have always been fine. The Leyland undercoat will give a great base and it will probably look good in grey mat before you top coat.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.1
