Pet passport and Brexit

Options
Much as we are all sick of the B word, my vet has a notice up about potential changes to the rules if it all goes pear-shaped so just. sharing this for those who may not be aware that things could change.

It sounds like they are planning for the EU to throw a hissy fit and class us as an unlisted country as a punishment. Yet again it is advice assuming a worst case scenario.

It's fairly obvious that if we had free movement with a passport before then we meet, or probably exceed looking at some of the countries, the requirements to be a listed country. However, they will probably, intentionally, drag their feet when it comes to putting us on to the list

Yeah, it was totally unreasonable of the EU to cause all this uncertainty.

    Oh wait...

Nothing to do with EU causing uncertainty, more to do with HM Government departments wanting to persuade the populace that we face Armageddon if Brexit goes ahead.

High ranking civil servants panicking about all the high wage tax free jobs for them that will disappear.

You may notice that all the advice is not 'this is what will probably happen' but 'OMG we are doomed!!!! and the economy and life in the UK will become extinct,' with the unwritten bit of 'its not to late to repent and stay in the EU'

That's just not true though is it? That is in fact a lie, just like all the other Brexit lies.

No deal is scary to a lot of us, not because we don't understand but because we do understand.

I'm disapppointed. I thought from the title of the thread you were going to be taking Gitdog abroad, I was so looking forward to his adventures on tour :D

I go away on holiday to get away from Gitdog. Brexit or no Brexit, neither of us are ready for him to be inflicted on the holidaying public.
