Hi all, newbie I'm afraid so please be gentle!
I declared bankruptcy in July 2017 through a specialist firm (which I'm happy with) and was discharged July 18. I don't know what I expected but post discharge I felt depressed. My assisted bankruptcy "guy" suggested getting a credit card once my discharge had come through and a bank account. I did this and some months later I check my credit report to find I'd lost 177 points for the card and then now loose my remaing 56 points for the bank account! Even though I have positive influences like been on electoral role for years and managed my mobile phone contract etc etc a well known credit reference agency have completely wiped out my score! I'm worse off now than I was during bankruptcy, proper gutted and depressed. I expected to be making small changes in a positive way but this is 2 steps forward and 11million back! HELP!

You"be the right thing in getting the card. You can now build good credit history.
The credit scores are just made numbers that have no bearing on anything.
Make sure you never pay attention to them.0 -

You can rest easy as your score/rating is only seen by yourself so no need to feel gutted nor depressed, your history is important.
Theres 3 credit reference agencies in the mix so they may rate differently. Goofle should help finding these.
Its going to take time so be patient.0
