Worcester boiler/thermostat problem

Our heating has come on in the night when the Altech remote thermostat is showing OFF.
We know the settings are right, as everything has been functioning properly until tonight..
I have tried putting the setting to Frost Protection but the boiler is still firing and the Receiver is showing both the Red and Green lights.
I have changed the batteries in the remote - this had caused a problem when we first moved here, although no Battery Low indicator was displayed.
The boiler was serviced a few weeks ago.
I can’t think what else to try. Any ideas please?

Have you got 2 zone valves or a diverter valve. My dd has a Worcester and the upstairs sometimes stays on even when the thermostat is showing as off. I noticed that the zone valve was sticking open, I stripped the valve and sprayed it with wd40. It seems to work now. It seems the sun stat ones are renowned for it.0

Thanks for your reply.
No, this doesn’t apply to us.
It would appear to be a problem with the Altech. I am wondering now if it’s an electrician we should consult, rather than our boiler engineer, who confirmed recently that our boiler is fine.0 -
