We have just upgraded from a hi fi to sonos one speaker. We are looking for the first time to have either amazon prime which I think includes music or apple music.
What are peoples experiences of them please?
We have also just purchased Amazon echo for our daughter for Christmas.
We have IPads and iphones in the household too. We have cds burnt onto the icloud iTunes which we would love to keep using.
We are no very savvy with all this new technology at all

I have and use amazon prime as it offers so much, tv, delivery, photo storage, pantry and of course a lot of music. With two Echo's I find my tastes are catered for. I did try the full music service but the bog standard bundled one was good enough for me.0

Never tried apple music, but I use Amazon Prime.
Any tunes stored on or accessed from your iPad or iPhone can be played on your remote speaker using Bluetooth. You can set up your own playlist or use Amazon lists.
In addition you can stream from any DAB radio station."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Amazon Prime not only gives you music but video and free next day delivery. However be aware that some of the music on Prime is limited to their enhanced subscription, Amazon Music Unlimited. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Don't confuse Prime Music (which you get with Amazon Prime), and Amazon Music.
Amazon Prime (£7.99 per month or £79 for a year) gives you free delivery, some free Prime Video and Prime Music - access to 2 million songs.
Amazon Music (£9.99 per month, £7.99 for Prime members) gives you access to around 50 million songs, the same as you get with Apple Music.
If you want the other things offered by Amazon Prime, its worth trying it, and seeing if there's enough music content included for you. Otherwise, since your already invested with Apple, and want to be able to play all your music (stream new stuff as well as music you already have in itunes), then stick with Apple.0 -

Exactly this.
I signed up for Prime a few months back and was disappointed to see how little music I want is included*. Essentially i think they include some music only so they can keep suggesting you buy Unlimited Music every time you look at something and discover its not in Prime.
* only disappointed in terms of the adverts promising all the music you could have, i didn't sign up to Prime for the music at all. Similar for the films as well.0 -
I know this is not exactly what you asked for but if you're only after music, it's really between Spotify and Apple music where Spotify wins. This is my personal opinion based on available music and better cross platform interface for both services.0

I'd recommend Google Play Music.0
