Parking charge Appeal

To my surprise a letter dropped through the letter asking me to pay a fine to ES Parking enforcement Ltd . Asking me to stump up £60 for breaking parking rules.

They had 1 photograph showing that the purchased ticket had slipped down towards the venting showing half the ticket and the date obscured. Some of the date is showing but its not a great photo.

On the day of the incident I didn't receive a fine on my windscreen. I was oblivious to having done anything wrong driving home.

three weeks later I receive a letter. Oblivious to the incident, I have since cleaned my car and removed all previous parking sticking.

The date on the letter is more than 14 days past the incident. The letter was sent 20 days later

I have appealed the car parking company and i've lost their appeal process.

Do I have grounds to appeal elsewhere?

Cheers For any help.

Terry

You now wait patiently for either a Letter of Claim or official court correspondence to drop through your letter-box.

Meanwhile, ignore all debt collectors letters.

This process is fully described in [URL="https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread[/URL].

You would be wise to remove all clues to the driver's identity from your post.

Did you tell ES Parking who the driver was in your appeal?
  • Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it. I'll go through the newbie notes.

I writing on behalf of my wife who was driving that day, purchasing a non-sticky weekly ticket for the carpark.

She has written to the car parking company to appeal and signed her name and included our address which they have obtained from somewhere. So yes, she has put her name to a written communication

I guess the next step would be to appeal to the Independent Appeals Service via the IPC website?

    Cheers

Once you've read them, you'll realise why the following might need a rethink.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
