Completely disagree. Never had a problem, including a glass of red wine being knocked over on a light grey 80:20 carpet.
An 80% wool carpet cannot be cleaned like a carpet of 100% artificial material,i know that mainly wool carpets used to be hard wearing but even my mate who has been a carpet fitter for over 40years agrees that synthetic carpet meterial is easier to clean/remove stains.0
