If the primary heat exchanger is clogged eventually the central heating will start causing the same problem as the hot water, and it won't run at all.
If this the case, is one thing you can try is adding a bottle of X800 (about 20 quid from screwfix so worth a punt) to the water in central heating circuit and letting that run round. They say it takes an hour, but a week is better in my experience. If that sorts it out, drain the CH completely, refill and add inhibitor to stop it happening again.

Thank you for the message. And in this case no, there is not any sound like that. I can hear that the boiler is firing up and then I can hear that is "working" but nothing like a kettle getting to a boiling point.0

No mention so far in this thread of water pressure. Combi boilers need a minimum mains pressure, latest premium models can cope with a lower pressure.
If your combi is also supplying the radiators then the closed-loop pressure needs to be carefully set between 2 limits.
Obviously if the heating technicians have been in already then the above elementary checks would be done.

I'd go to the Vaillant website and look up a local Vaillant approved technician.0 -
I had problems with a 13 Year old Vaillant Ecotec Plus 824 earlier this year when a local engineer could not seem to get to the bottom of the problem (and had condemned the boiler as being beyond economic repair). I found that Vaillant's Engineering service was very good value. They sold me a 6 month boiler insurance policy with Direct & General and sent a Vaillant engineer who diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 48 hours.
The cost of the policy was £300. There was a cheaper option but this carried a limit to the cost of parts that would be replaced. I reckon the engineer fitted about £500 worth of parts to cure the problem. (New heat exchanger, expansion vessel, pressure sensor and various tubes). The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -

Run the hot tap, the boiler will fire up. It should stay fired up when the water is running. if it cuts out then it's a problem somewhere with the boiler.
Having the diverter, flow temp switch and plate heat exchanger replaced I would say the PCB is to blame.0 -
Run the hot tap and press the i button, this should bring up the status code. Leave the tap running and record the s codes. Put them up on here and it will give us a ideal of what the boiler is doing.0

If you go to "ultimatehandyman" forums there's a sub-forum on central heating and boilers. Lots of experts in plumbing answer questions on there, so if you post your question there you might get an answer that's very well informedDear OP
Register with Screwfix forums - very good and quick.
GoodluckBtw, also try Mybuilder, but not as good as Screwfix.
There are some very knowledgeable people on here as wellI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
