Parking Eye have admitted they were wrong!

Today I have had the pleasure of speaking to Parking Eye - I know it's not common/wise advice to call the PPCs, but my circumstances are usually a bit different to most on here.
We supplied 3 vehicles to a company in Norfolk last month, and in turn they were supplied to the drivers. Our customer was chasing us for the registration details well in advance of delivery, so we passed them on as soon as we had confirmation.
The driver then notified the managing agent of the site they work at (St Nicholas' Retail Park, Kings Lynn) and the registrations were added to the white-list. An email has confirmed this happened in mid-November.
The vehicles were eventually delivered towards the end of last month, and the driver was very happy with them.
In the meantime, we have received 8 PCNs for the vehicles, but our fines admin team is separate to the supply team so didn't know about the white-listed registrations - they did what they always do, and transferred liability to our customer.
Our customer received all 8 PCNs on the same day, along with 8x £15 admin fees - you can guess what their reaction was like.
PE have confirmed that they had white-listed the registrations, but can not explain why the charges were issued. They have apologised and cancelled them immediately, and have confirmed so in writing.
Two lessons learned - their 19 point check or whatever is far from infallible, and also this is why vehicle supply companies should never pay a parking charge.
The admin fees have also been cancelled.
Auxillis - are you reading this?

well done m8
although we wouldnt normally tell people to phone a parking company under normal circumstances where they are rookies and blab, we know that you are on the ball and know your stuff so I for one do not blame an experienced and knowledgeable person from doing this and sorting it out properly, using facts and knowledge to win
as you say, their so called procedures are not infallible and dont need to be when they put profit and greed above common sense and decency
regards and merry xmas to you0 -
A bit like their double dip, not relevant land, within Grace Periods, they prefer to chance their arm and leave it to the punter to grind his way out of them.PE have confirmed that they had white-listed the registrations, but can not explain why the charges were issued.
If PE have to cancel, it costs them nothing, they only need a few to pay these unfounded charges to be well in profit.
They picked a wrong one in you SSW. I like reading your posts.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The thought had crossed my mind, but when I got through to the guy on the phone and said where I was calling from, his chirpy and upbeat tone completely changed.
It would appear that our company has earned something of a reputation within PE, and that alone is worth it

it's a pity that a call from the BPA or DVLA doesn't do that to them0
