Smart parking zenith collections

Hi, I received a parking charge notice dated in.2015 from Smart parking.I appealed this on their website in January 2016 and heard no response until I got a demand for payment letter for £170 from DRP in March. I wrote to DRP and explained that I was still waiting for a response to my appeal and that after that I should expect to get 21 days to pay the original charge. I then got a response in March from Smart parking which acknowledged my initial appeal in January and saying they had rejected my appeal. I therefore paid Smart Parking the original charge amount of £60 and thought that would be the end of it.Then later I received a further letter from DRP dated the day after the Smart Parking letter saying the time to challenge the charge had expired and access to the independent appeals service was no longer available. The letter requested I pay a parking charge of £170. I feel strongly that this is an abuse and that they have not followed the regulations. I did not overstay my time parked in the parking bay. The reason why my exit time recorded on their camera was longer that the 120 minutes I paid for was because the carpark was very full the Sunday before Christmas and the way in/out was blocked by a very long lorry and caused a traffic jam. I had to wait for along time in order to leave. Also when I arrived it took me ages to pay for parking as only one machine was working , cash only, and there was a huge queue. I have continued to receive threatening letters periodically from DRP. Today I got a letter from Zenith collections, which I believe is the same company, asking for £110 and threatening court action for non payment. Shall I continue to ignore these letters or do something about it? Thanks.

Your keyboard is broken. The paragraph button isn't working. Not many here will read a wall of text. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
