People always assume a development next door will de-value existing property, but that's not certain, and with a bungalow, even less so.
I had the joy of a large estate being built next to my inherited bungalow, with a 5 bed 'executive' house as the nearest of the new neighbours.
People said how unfortunate it was, after I'd spent so much time and money renovating, but they didn't commiserate after I broke the ceiling price for the road!
The person who bought had never seen the fields that used to be over the hedge. All they cared about was finding an up-together property with a reasonably private garden in the right location.0
