I think not.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
If he’s my boss why is he scratching his crotch when I’m sitting next to him?
Because your boss does not have to act like you want him to act. He's your boss, your not his.
I agree with Comms on this one, raising it is likely to sour the relationship. Up to you if you want to take that risk. Given you already 'do nothing all day' and apparently the director thinks your position is not needed, it sounds like there might not even be much more damage to do though.0 -
If you are going to leave anyway, perhaps best to sit it out to avoid risking your good reference.0

I agree with that. It sounds as if you don't enjoy the job; don't have enough to keep you occupied, and therefore things which you possibly wouldn't even notice in a different environment are getting to you as well. Find another job and move on.0 -
Nothing worse than being next to someone who constantly sniffs, cough's & snorts at work.....many a time I've told people to take medicine/have a good cough to clear throat/go home and stop infecting everyone/your getting on my t..s doing that/or just giving them the LOOK that says it all0

@gardner I do give the look
it’s not been effective.

@Tellit01 yes I’m trying to ignore it but I’m one of those people that you can tell Im hiding something. At my next 121 he might bring it up, which makes me think if I should say anything.0

I do sympathise despite, or possibly because of, the fact that I'm a 'sniffer'. In my case it's nothing to do with having a cold though. I broke my nose badly when I was younger and that means I have limited ability to breathe through my nose. Now, whenever I have even very slight nasal congestion it feels as if I can't breathe and the automatic reaction is to try to breathe in harder, resulting in the 'sniff'. It is such a subliminal reaction I don't even realise I'm doing it. I've been fortunate to work with understanding people, and the shape of my nose also gives a fair indication there might be a problem. :-)0

Just dump a box of tissues in front of him.0

@tellit01 ah yes I remember him saying he had to take an anti histermine daily. I too had a problem breathing through my nose and it doesn’t sound like you deliberately sniff up nose stuff. Did you tell your work colleagues?
If these men tried to mask the noise it would be better, but they don’t.0
