  • Hi Michelle,

Thank you for your polite and respectful post. Very refreshing. I hope we all learn something from this experience. I personally should have checked the rules before posting and have deleted the link as requested. I have checked this site a few times in the past but I'm still a relative newbie and I think in future it would serve this forum well if the more experienced members adopted a more respectful and friendly tone - they can learn a lot from your approach.

    Thanks!

As for £50 instead of £40, I don't see what your point is. I have not lied or intended to mislead anyone but for some reason there are a few bitter and judgemental people here with too much time on their hands (but not enough time to even read things properly!)

P.S. Edited this about 10 times because I'm so offended by all of this. Please do not reply.

    1. My point is £50 better than £40, isn't it? I am member of this site, I feel right to let other members know what they should get.

    2. Look, although you open this thread, it doesn't mean only you or those who agree with you can post!

By the way, what do you expect us to say? Oh, good deal, well done, we losing out £10 or even more £30 by reading your post? And say thank you at the end? Sorry, I can't.
  • Where has the £50 figure come from? How is anybody losing out here? I'm totally LOST when it comes to you. Totally random.

    Hi Chris,

The £50 figure Johnmoney05 is referring to is the £50 straight cashback on offer from quidco for opening a Premier or Premier Direct Account. This is technically a £10 better deal than going for a straight down the middle referral offer such as yours. The amount offered on the referrer's board, however, is £70 so that's £30 better overall and that is what people would have lost out on by going with your deal.

That's good that you've removed the link - I'm sure a mod would have taken it away anyway but it's nice you've done it yourself once you've realised your mistake.

    Regards

    Michelle

  • Thanks Michelle,

I wasn't aware of this deal when I posted.

I hope others involved in this thread will now stop posting and in future will give newbies a chance. They do this forum a disservice when they don't even check their facts fully and are so quick to judge and condemn.

I will thank your post again because you set an example IMO. Bullying online is a coward's way, and should be totally unacceptable in a wider community.

The first thing I mentioned was the £50 by Quidco. And you could have read the first post by YorkshireBoy. You still asked where the £50 or £70 came from. OH, well....

I did check the facts fully before I wrote my post every time. Did you?
As to a newbie, your Join Date was on Sep 2006. It doesn't sound new to me. By the way, you can't post a new post to defend yourself then ask the other member to stop posting.

I have to say, NO, I haven't had "bullying" you. I just set out the truth. You can't say other people "bullying" you just because they don't agree with your wrong view, do you?!

A sound community should have different voice. And a wrong post should have been pointed out, otherwise, lost will be those believe the wrong post.

In fact, you should realise your post is wrong as soon as you read YorkshireBoy's post. But you didn't. You defended yourself.

I don't want to spend more time on this thread anymore. I am sure other members will know what is happenning. And I am sure they will not think about taking your auction on ebay. Anyway, have a nice weekend.

I was NOT aware of this when I first posted so I really don't see what your point is.
I did check the facts fully before I wrote my post every time.
That's untrue. If you'd read the listing properly you would never have accused me of purporting to be from a bank, I clearly stated that I was an A&L customer, and never intended to misrepresent that. It was just another assumption of your's. Just like you assumed I am dishonest with no evidence for that. You can't go around accusing people of things and not expect them to defend themselves!!!

My post count was what? 10 before this? That's Newbie to me. It's not like I frequent this place often, my whole point in stating this was that more experienced people, such as yourself, should hold back on criticising someone who might not be fully aware of rules and that referral scheme. Politely inform them, but don't judge, and Yorkshireboy's sarcasm isn't necessary either.
By the way, you can't post a new post to defend yourself then ask the other member to stop posting.
I can when you are rude, can't check your facts properly and accuse me of dishonesty with no basis for this.
I have to say, NO, I haven't had "bullying" you. I just set out the truth.
See above. At least 2 things you've said that are entirely untrue. Truth is fine, such as stating that there are better deals out there than this, but your attitude was way out of order.
I don't want to spend more time on this thread anymore.
Good! Like I said, you can learn a lot from Michelle's approach.
